Laurence Pike is a prolific drummer/composer/producer and one Australia’s most respected creative musicians. Along with his five international solo album releases, Pike is a member of Warp Records alumni PVT, electronic jazz trio and Jan Jelinek collaborators Triosk, the UK’s Szun Waves (with Jack Wyllie and Luke Abbott), radical improvisation quartet BELIEVE, and US/Aus avant-punk group LIARS. Laurence’s music explores the language of improvisation within disciplines, with an emphasis on presence and experience through real time composition, drawing on a musical value system developed over two decades.
