Sister Acts – And There Were More
TND Entertainment presents another Nostalgia Hour at the Jannali Coffee Station.
Following the presentation of a number of sister groups from yesteryear in May of 2023, TND Entertainment presents Sister Acts – And there Were More featuring an additional nine, generally less well-known, sister groups of yesteryear.
Hear some terrific, and perhaps forgotten, sister acts and songs of yesteryear. There will be some music trivia with free coffees to be won.

Tuesday Lunchtime Recitall Series
This recital will feature violin students of Dr Goetz Richter from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music accompanied by Dono Ng.    
This week’s concert features Connie Yang performing Tchaikovsky’s Allegro Moderato Violin Concerto in D major op 35, Sierra Sharman, Korngold’s Moderato Nobile from Violin Concerto D major op 35, Jessica Ma performing Vieuxtemps’ Concerto a minor op 37 and Yue Zheng Paganini’s. Allegro Maestoso, Concerto D major op 6.
Former performers are currently overseas involved in postgradaute studies in America and in Europe. Come along and enjoy!
The Church is about a ten minute walk form Burwood Railway station. Bus routes 464 and 418 have stops nearby. Parking is available in side streets as well as Burwood Road.

Romantic Gems
Mosman Symphony Orchestra continues 2024 with their next installment – Romantic Gems. This concert will open with the Norma Overture by Bellini, followed by Opera Australia’s Tristan Entwistle singing the exquisite Rückert Lieder of Mahler, intricately exploring the depths of human emotion. Beethoven’s 4th Symphony will round out the concert.
When: Saturday 25 May at 7.30pm

Piano Concert: The World of Children
A concert of piano solos and duets to remind us of the world of children: music written by children and for children, and music picturing children’s life, games and interests. Composers include Bach, Mozart, Schumann, Debussy, Tchaikovsky, and Bizet. Performers are Paul Weaver and Christopher Wagstaff.
Works include Debussy’s Children’s Corner, selections from Schumann’s Scenes from Childhood, Bizet’s Children’s Games, and Roger Quilter’s Children’s Overture, and even the Teddy Bears’ Picnic.
Donations invited to Rough Edges ministry around Kings Cross.

Women in Music Series
The Women’s Club is hosting monthly recitals for their Women in Music Series to celebrate the diversity and creativity that women bring to music. With their next recital on Friday, May 31st, The Women’s Club has invited one of Australia’s exciting new talents in classical music, pianist Isobel Archer. Archer is one of the youngest ever graduates from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
All profits/ticket sales go towards the performing musicians.

The Space Between the Stars
Musicus Medicus, The NSW Doctors Orchestra, conducted by Joanna Drimatis, and featuring pianist Daniel Rojas as soloist, presents its annual fundraising concert at the Concourse Concert Hall Chatswood, in aid of Sydney Eisteddfod and the Daniel Ferguson LGMD Foundation.
The great program of music includes works by local composers Ella Macens (Maysens) and Daniel Rojas (Rohas), with Bernstein’s West Side Story Symphonic Dances.

Choir of St Andrew’s Cathedral
Mosman Concert Series is excited to present for the first time, the magnificent Choir of St Andrew’s Cathedral when they perform works by John Rutter, Gordon Jacob, Edward Elgar and JS Bach under the direction of Mr Ross Cobb.
Hear this wonderful 40-piece Choir in the beautiful acoustics of Blessed Sacrament Church.
Stay after the hour’s concert for a chat and a glass of sparkling with the performers.

The FilmHarmonia Orchestra presents “Classified” – their first concert of 2024. Join them for an afternoon filled with the iconic sounds of your favourite spy and mystery films, TV shows, and video games.
Some of the repertoire will be ‘shaken but not stirred’ with James Bond and transported to the world of cryptic codes and wartime secrets with music from The Imitation Game. Immerse yourself in magical intrigue with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and swing into action with the heroic themes from Spiderman.
