‘As It Happened – Live At Founders’ is a recording opportunity at 2MBS Fine Music Sydney for emergent musicians. It is effectively a live recording session, where the group bumps in, does a sound check, and records ~30min of music of the group leader’s choice (standards/covers/originals) allowing for a single track retake. Yes, as it happened!
The group leader does an intro for each piece, leading direct into performance. Post production is limited to preparation for broadcast.
Jazz items will be broadcast on Emergent Jazz, and other genres will be broadcast as opportunities emerge. The broadcast will be available on our Listen Anytime, with a streaming link to the program available for the group to access/promote on social media, or as part of a show reel. If the group wants to re-release the broadcast, eg Youtube/ Bandcamp/ CD, we can negotiate a fee; otherwise there are no fees.
