Violist Katie Yap’s debut album, Multitudes, consists of four evocative, diverse and expansively beautiful tracks and forms the culmination of her Freedman Fellowship, which she received in 2022. Inspired by the bird poetry of Australian Judith Wright and reflected in the titles of each piece, Multitudes was collaboratively composed and recorded by Katie and her collaborators. Katie says of the recording: “Multitudes is my response and an antidote to the breakdowns in connection that I observe so often in our complex world.”
