The Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra’s fifth album Farrenc & Eberl: Beyond Classical Horizons, conducted by Rachael Beesley, features two Romantic trailblazers: Louise Farrenc, whose exquisite Nonet in E flat major won the French composer equal pay, and Anton Eberl, whose Symphony in E flat major rivalled Beethoven. It’s the Australian premiere of both works, recorded live on period instruments.
