2MBS Fine Music Sydney has recognised the magnificence and import of French composer, Édouard Lalo, in a three-part broadcast of his key works.
Born 27 January 1823, he hailed from the Northern French city of Lille. For many years, Lalo worked as a violinist and violist, in both orchestral and chamber fields. His most popular works are for string soloists with orchestra, especially his Cello concerto and the Symphonie espagnole.
The three broadcasts have been brought together as a special Fine Music event, available to Listen Anytime from Édouard Lalo.
