One of jazz’s brightest young stars, Jazzmeia Horn, will headline the 2024 Sydney International Women’s Jazz Festival, performing jazz and soul classics on Friday November 1 at St Stephen’s Uniting Church.
Horn is renowned for her saxophone-like vocal facility teamed with her and lyrical artistry. Drawing on her love of iconic 1950s and 60s singers like Nina Simone and Sarah Vaughan, this young star has created a sound that is all her own, with her stunning vocals, inspired scat-singing and a vivacity that is infectious.
