The Handel’s Messiah Sydney choir is looking for skilled choristers and enthusiastic amateur singers to be a part of the annual event that is at the heart of Sydney’s Christmas celebrations each year.
You could be part of this choir! The choir is non-auditioning and welcomes both trained singers and enthusiastic amateurs.
Join over 300 singers at the beautiful St Stephen’s Uniting Church in Macquarie Street and experience the thrill of making music that includes the world-famous Hallelujah Chorus.
Prepare with over nine rehearsals commencing Monday 21 October, where you’ll learn the iconic choral music that is Handel’s Messiah. The choir then performs for two events only, on Saturday 21 December and Sunday 22 December at the historic Sydney Town Hall.
There are no auditions, and everyone is welcome, including children who would like to sing and can attend with their parents or grandparents! So, make this the year that you’re a part of the continuing history of Handel’s Messiah.
