Fridays from 12pm – 1pm with Barry O’Sullivan.
Each week on Fridays at noon, Barry O’Sullivan hosts a studio guest, a local or visiting jazz musician. Together, they play a selection of the guest’s music, influences and favourites, as well as talk about the guest’s career and life.
This Friday on A Jazz Hour, Barry O’Sullivan talks to Chris McNulty, one of the unique modern vocal jazz artists of her generation who also composes. Her warm, soulful tones and liquid phrasing meld seamlessly across a wide range of styles and idioms. Acclaimed by critics for her emotive delivery, storytelling and technical mastery,
McNulty’s effortless synergy with fellow musicians has been captivating audiences worldwide for decades. She has just released her eighth album, Soul Journey.
