Friday 25th – Each Friday, Barry O’Sullivan invites a studio guest onto Friday’s A Jazz Hour at noon. This week’s guest is saxophonist Matthew Ottignon. Not just a saxophone, there are the seven other instruments he plays, as well as the band he leads, Mister Ott.
Described as “ a brilliant antipodean jazz musician (who) ventures into related genres.” His latest “high energy album” is Tread Lightly with Stu Hunter, Cam Undy and Miles Thomas. “A life force fermenting…that can rear up like a tsunami or melt like chocolate”.
