Jazz on Wednesdays brings you the magic of world jazz.  At noon and 7pm, the feature is the Luke Howard Trio and their new album The Sanctuary.

Australian Music Prize composer Luke Howard has been described as “absolutely heavenly” and his music as “an ambient masterclass”. A pianist since childhood, Howard has scored films and performed with diverse artists.

After 13 years of performing together, Melbourne’s Luke Howard Trio releases their fourth album. They are Luke Howard on piano, Jonathan Zion on bass, and Daniel Farrugia on drums.

The minimalist jazz piano trio blends elements of improvised and popular music.

Listen to Jazz Sketches at noon with Robert Vale and Planet Jazz at 7pm with Xavier Bichon.
