Nena Beretin joined Fine Music Sydney in 2018 and often presents the Chamber Soirée and The World of a Symphony programs. Nena is a classical guitarist and holds a Masters and PhD in musicology. Her area of research focuses on the creative processes in modernist music and its reception. Nena is active within the musicological conference circuit and frequently presents papers in Australia and Europe.
Currently, she is Artistic Director of Phoenix a new performing arts theatre located at Chippendale, Sydney. The theatre was founded by philanthropist Judith Neilson to showcase local talent within the performing arts.
