Nina joined the station as presenter in 2021, bringing together her longstanding passion for classical music and her extensive professional background in broadcast journalism, media, and public relations.

Music played a significant role in Nina’s early life and education. During her school years in Hobart she participated in choirs, orchestras, and musical productions, while also taking piano lessons and attending youth concerts.

Nina earned an Arts degree from the University of Tasmania and a Master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University in the USA.

After graduating she joined the ABC as a cadet journalist and went on to spend more than two decades with TV News and Current Affairs in varying roles including reporting, production, editorial, training, and senior management.

Nina later worked at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade heading international media relations, and as a media adviser at the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney.

Her interests apart from music include international affairs, travel, wine, food, fitness, and skiing. Nina also serves on the Board of Directors of the World Press Institute.

At 2MBS Nina mainly presents and programs Diversions in Fine Music and Concert Hall.
