Foundry616 will close its doors at the end of June 2025.

According to the owners. the ongoing challenges of the post-COVID landscape have made it increasingly difficult to sustain the venue.

Since opening its doors in 2013, Foundry616 has proudly served as a cornerstone of Sydney’s jazz scene. The venue has hosted nearly every major jazz artist in the city, nurturing emerging talent, and welcoming incredible musicians from across Australia and around the world.

From 2013 to 2019, Foundry616 was the principal venue for the Sydney International Women’s Jazz Festival, a role that reflected its owners’ commitment to diversity and artistic excellence.

Throughout June, there will be a series of farewell performances as a one last celebration of the music, community, and memories that made Foundry616 such a special place.
