It is with great sadness that we have learnt of the passing of Derek Parker, who died after a short illness on 2 January 2025.
Derek was a substantial contributor at 2MBS Fine Music Sydney for nearly 20 years. For much of that time, he was one of our most highly respected presenters, bringing his decades of professional broadcasting experience with the BBC. He was also a key member of the Presenters Committee, and contributor to Fine Music Magazine. Since returning to the UK in 2021, Derek continued to provide programs, right up to his final days. He will be sadly missed. Our hearts are with his widow, Julia.
