I have loved school from my very first day. The passion for lifelong learning led to a Bachelors then to Masters and eventually to a Doctoral Award. The educational pathway underpinned a career path from teacher to National Education Manager, NSW Executive Officer, CEO of various national organisations to finally my own research company. For me research is like doing a jigsaw puzzle. Searching for the correct pieces to fit together to create a beautiful picture.
Although I always enjoyed an eclectic selection of music, as the daughter of refugees, there was never any money to pursue the interest in any depth. Hence my surprise when on my way to tennis, I stopped to check out an open day at 2MBS and was asked to train as a presenter.
What an amazing opportunity. As a presenter I am required to research the music that programmers have organised and write the script for presentation. But in doing so I am continuing my passion for lifelong learning and in the process obtaining a wonderful music education. The ability to share that new found knowledge with the 2MBS audience, is an absolutely delightful privilege.
My very grateful thanks for all the 2MBS presenters who have held my hand through my oh so non-technical ability, especially Ross Hayes whose extraordinary patience has enabled me to do the job.
