At the heart of Zodiac’s new album From lies a question second-generation immigrants know all too well: “Where are you from?”. It’s a question that can’t be answered with a single place or label, and one that has shaped the emotional and musical landscape of this work.
From is a reflection on identity, belonging, and dual heritage. For the members of Zodiac, growing up in Australia while being deeply connected to their Asian cultural roots has created a rich and sometimes complex sense of self. Rather than viewing this duality as a tension, the band celebrates it. Honouring both the places of their cultural heritage and the land they were born into and continue to grow within.
