The National Final of the 2023 Young Virtuoso of the Year Award was held at the 4MBS Classic FM Performance Studio in Brisbane on Friday 17 November.
The five extremely talented finalists all performed brilliantly, each wowing the audience in the intimate venue.
The lineup began with alto saxophonist Tom Lowe, (representing 3MBS), classical guitarist Connor White (representing ArtSound FM), violinist Ein Na (representing 4MBS), violinist Teresa Yang (representing 2MBS), and pianist Jenny Su (representing 5MBS).
Adjudicators Associate Professor Michele Walsh and Mr Mark Hooper awarded the $5000 prize to 14-year-old violinist Ein Na from Brisbane.
Well done to all the young performers, who should feel very proud of their achievements!”
The Young Virtuoso Award will be held in Sydney next year.
