Following the completion of her Bachelor of Music (Performance) degree at the Sydney Conservatorium in 2023 Cassandra will travel to Europe and North America to pursue further study, performance opportunities.
In Europe she will audition for various European young artist programs, have lessons with targeted teachers in the German Hochschulen and as part of her 2024 IFAC Handa Australian Singing Competition award she will meet with Nicole Car in Paris for mentoring sessions.
She will also attend The Canadian Vocal Arts Institute’s Summer Program in Montreal, assisted by the Nell Pascall Award, which includes performing full roles with full staging and orchestra.
Cassandra strongly believes that she is ready to expand her horizons abroad and to take full advantage of these international development opportunities. The Stefan Kruger Scholarship will afford a next step in her artistic development as she seeks to become a member of a European opera studio in the next two years and begin her operatic career.
Upon being awarded the Kruger Scholarship Cassandra said “I am extremely grateful to receive the Stefan Kruger Scholarship. I’m also thrilled to have the opportunity to use 2MBS Fine Music’s recording facilities through this. The Stefan Kruger Scholarship will enable me to pursue further study overseas and embark on a career in opera, for which I’m deeply thankful and honoured.”
