Maria Callas Comes to Sydney

It’s taken a long time for opera singer Maria Callas to make it to Australia, but finally she arrived this past weekend. But wait a minute, I hear you say, I thought the diva was dead. Well, it’s true. She died in 1977 at the early age of 53, but thanks to the wonders of modern-day technology, and an initiative of the European Union, she gave two magnificent concerts in the Sydney Opera House on Saturday and Sunday.
