It is with deep sadness that we recently announced the passing of Maureen Meers, one of our longest serving presenters. For more than a quarter of a century Maureen graced us with her almost daily presence.
For many years she gave up her leisure time to train newcomers to the station, she willingly lent a hand to the library staff as well as presenting Classical and Jazz programs and her nostalgic In A Sentimental Mood.
As a tribute to Maureen, her regular In A Sentimental Mood program, scheduled for this Saturday 8 June at 1pm, will be replaced with a special In Conversation program with Maureen hosted by Michael Morton-Evans.
