In a celebration of artistic brilliance and cultural connection, the resplendent Admiralty House, official residence of Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, hosted a breath-taking evening dedicated to musical excellence.

In this prestigious setting, our 2025 Artists in Residence, Nexas Quartet and the distinguished Liz Player with her quartet delivered a performance that transcended genre and expectation.

Her Excellency warmly welcomed the artists and guests, acknowledging the vital role of 2MBS Fine Music Sydney in helping shape Australia’s musical landscape since 1974!

The evening resonated with passion, precision, and purpose, as classical melodies and jazz harmonies danced through the grand halls of Admiralty House, weaving a powerful narrative of unity through music.

These inspired performances, set against the backdrop of Sydney Harbour, aglow with the brilliant colours of Vivid, was not only a tribute to musical mastery but also a reflection of 2MBS commitment to fostering artistic innovation and dialogue.

It was a night to remember, elegant, inspired, and deeply entertaining.
