The Young Virtuoso Award 2025 NSW State Finalists are:
Jacob Lawler, Eloise Brunsdon, Jeffrey Dong, Symphony Shi, Sharon Zhao, Elijah Baker, Gabriel Baker, and Veronica Vella.

These exceptional young musicians competed in the 2MBS Young Virtuoso Award finals that took place on Saturday, 27 September 2025. This event marks the first stage in the prestigious National Young Virtuoso Award, a flagship initiative of the Music Broadcasting Society, celebrated across community radio stations in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory, and South Australia.

2MBS Fine Music Sydney proudly presents this program as part of its ongoing commitment to nurturing live music and supporting emerging talent within the Sydney community. Each finalist brings remarkable skill, passion, and artistry to the stage, offering audiences a glimpse of the future of classical music in Australia. The overall winner of the National Young Virtuoso Award will be chosen from the state-level winners, continuing a tradition of celebrating Australia’s brightest young musical talent.

There is one YVA winner from each state: 2MBS (Sydney), 3MBS (Melbourne), 4MBS (Brisbane), 5MBS (Adelaide) and ArtSound Canberra

The judges select one National winner. This year, it will be held in Adelaide on Sunday 23 November 2025 at St John’s Anglican Church Halifax Street.
