Rooted in jazz tradition but infused with a fresh, contemporary voice, Australian-Canadian vocalist Tiana Young makes her powerful debut with Comedienne. This live event celebrates the release of her first single – part of her forthcoming album Serendipity – and features original compositions, unheard tracks, and jazz favourites that reflect her love for storytelling through rich harmonic language and modern perspectives.

Tiana’s evocative vocals and unique compositional style are brought to life by an exceptional ensemble: Billy Ward (alto sax), Andrew Scott (piano), Hilary Geddes (guitar), James Shortland (double bass), and Abby Constable (drums). Together, they deliver a dynamic performance shaped by depth, expression, and spontaneity.

A graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium, Tiana is the current 2MBS Fine Music Sydney Ken Weatherley Scholar. Singing in eight languages, with a background in classical voice and a passion for musical theatre, she brings versatility and soul to every performance. Drawing influence from legends like Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, and Samara Joy, Tiana has performed across Australia, Brazil, and Germany.
