Jazz Sketches
2MBS Fine Music Sydney presenter Robert Vale presented his final Jazz Sketches program on Wednesday 5 February 2025, marking his 750th broadcast.
Jazz Sketches focused on contemporary jazz, often gathered from emerging cultures and Australian sources. Throughout his career, Robert expertly showcased a blend of jazz and world music, introducing listeners to a wide array of sounds and cultures. His unique style and deep knowledge made his shows unforgettable. Robert Vale’s departure leaves a notable void, and he will be greatly missed by his audience.
The New Jazz Standard
Frank Presley delivered captivating jazz renditions of pop, rock, film music, and contemporary jazz in this long-running program, The New jazz Standard.

~Still focussing on Sydney’s young emerging musicians, and now including the renowned and established musicians with gigs around Sydney, and their new releases. All in a fortnightly rotation, Keith on the young and Deborah on the established musicians.

a series of recording sessions of emergent jazz musicians, recorded live in our Founders Studio, as it happened.
