Program Highlights

Jeanell Carrigan is an Associate Professor in the Collaborative Piano Unit at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. She has performed throughout Australia and Europe as a soloist, chamber musician and collaborative duo partner. Her area of research is Australian solo piano repertoire and more recently in the piano music composed by early 20th Century Australian women composers. She’s released 32 albums of solo Australian piano and chamber works and has written several books.

Each Friday, Barry O’Sullivan invites a studio guest onto Friday’s A Jazz Hour at noon. This week Barry welcomes Amy Curl, CEO of the Sydney Improvised Music Association.  Listen out as she talks about her music, SIMA and managing the current SIMA Summer Festival.

Jazz on Wednesdays brings you the magic of world jazz.  On Wednesday the 8th, the feature will be the UK trumpeter Neil Yates & his album Five Countries. 

Late night Sundays and Mondays are special times of the week. From 10:00pm on Sunday 21st and Monday 22nd, Jazz After Hours brings you a range of jazz ballads, and some renowned Australians. This is jazz to engage, relax and refresh.
